In addition to learning the skills necessary to live camp life day to day, like canoeing, portaging, navigation, putting up a tent, and cooking, students will have the opportunity to live and have fun with a group of their peers.
The GAP experience is a great stepping stone toward our Outreach program for Grade 7 and 8 graduates. Successful students will receive a Grade 9 Phys-Ed 0.5 credit (PAD105) in our outdoor classroom.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we go in Frontenac Park?Most students will start their canoe trip at Big Salmon Lake and finish at the Gould Lake Outdoor Centre. The trip routes vary from group to group, but all routes are similar in length and difficulty. The exact routes will be available for parents to see on the second day of each session at the bus pick up.
How big will my canoe trip group be?
In Quest or GAP, students will be divided into groups of 10 students with two staff members and up to two instructors in training.
