Nature Camp FrogCome join us for 5 days of crafts, games, and learning! This program is available to students currently in grades 1-4. Each session will take place at the Gould Lake Outdoor Centre north of Sydenham. Bus transportation is offered at a different site each session (Loughborough for Session 1, Maple ES for Session 2, Southview for Session 3, Centennial PS for Session 4 and Molly Brant for Session 5 ). Students will learn about a different nature theme each day!

On Day 1, we’ll kick off the week with Rocks and Minerals, exploring Gould Lake and the abandoned mica mines scattered throughout the conservation area. Campers will enjoy lunch at one of the mines and search for a variety of mineral samples. Day 2 is Weather Day, where campers will build shelters to protect against the elements and conduct experiments to better understand wind and air pressure. Animal Day follows on Day 3! Campers will interact with Gould Lake’s wildlife and explore nearby ponds to discover the creatures that live there. Day 4 is all about Water Fun, featuring a water balloon challenge, a team relay race, and, of course, plenty of swim time! We’ll wrap up the week with Plant Day, when campers will canoe across the lake to East Bay for a plant hike, a big swim, friendship bracelet–making, and a cookout lunch.
