Dear students and families of the Gould Lake Outdoor Centre
Summer Programs,
I hope this message finds you all well and you are enjoying
this amazing fall.
Typically, in November I would be emailing families
regarding “What’s Next” for students at GLOC and details on registration for
the upcoming summer season. I am emailing you all today to let you know that a
decision has not been made on if and how this summer program will look or
run. Student safety and wellbeing is always our number one priority. We have
been carefully considering all options and scenarios with the school board’s
guidance before a decision will be made. I will send out another email as soon
as we know more about the summer and registration. As it stands right now
registration most likely will be delayed until January.
We usually host a GLOC reunion at KCVI near winter break
where videos are shown on last years programs. Currently we are not
planning anything in person. There may be something virtual on our YouTube page
so stay tuned.
We have really appreciated all your support and patience
during this difficult time and hope we get to see all again soon.
